10.Little Miss Sunshine I like this movie for a few different reasons. Firstly, it seems that no matter how messed up their family is, they all have the same goal. Which is to get that little girl to her pageant. They each have their own issues to work through but for the span of the movie, while trying to work through them in a very small crowded space, they are still are trying to get at one thing. Ok, and Paul Dano is a hottie.
9.Old School Holy hell this movie is hilarious. I'm a huge Will Ferrell fan and this was one of his first movies that I saw. From the wedding singer (I fucking need you now tonight!!) all the way to the old guy who dies during the KY lube wrestling match, I laugh from beginning to end! Not to mention Andy Dick teaching the girls how to give good blowjobs and streaking through the quad. Definitely a must watch movie, and then watch again. And again.
8.Zoolander Ben Stiller is hilarious as shit, and every time I'm in the store trying on clothes I always do my Blue Steel face in the mirror a few hundred times. Also, I can't turn left either, completely normal right? Right! And incase you wanted to know, I'm doing my Blue Steel face right now also. I think my face might permanently stay this way!
7.The Wizard of Oz This movie is going to always be one of my favorites. I could watch it time and time again. Just curl up in a big ball on the couch and a blanket. I somehow always fall asleep at the same part, when they first meet the Wizard.
6.The Notebook Okay, I'll admit it. I'm a sap sometimes. And honestly, I believe in fairy tales. Sometimes I don't want to believe in fairy tales, or believe that your first love can be your only love or your last love but for the most part I do. I think that even though in so many ways this movie is the cliche chick flick, it also really drives the point home that a true love, a real love and an ever lasting love can last and be carried on through so many different situations. And how love can be found in the most unsuspecting of places.
5.Step Brothers Another Will Ferrell movie, I just recently saw this one for the first time admittedly. HE GOT HULK HANDS, THIS IS HORSE SHIT! I laugh every time. There's something about this movie, kind of portrays all of those stereotypical relationships between step siblings, with extra added humor. Plus, who doesn't know that cops is on at 4:30 in the afternoon? Exactly.
4.Lady and The Tramp Okay so this is actually a cartoon but it's absolutely adorable and I don't know one person who can honestly say they don't like it! If you haven't seen it, you should definitely go out and buy it right now!
3.Stand By Me Oh boy. A young River Phoenix. I am a sucker for him, how cute was he? I really like this movie and I can't entirely explain why but I know that from the very first time I saw it, I have loved it. I watch it when I'm alone or feeling lonely, again something I'm not entirely sure why I do. I guess because those four boys had such a friendship, that even when I feel lonely or at my worst, I can smile and think (hope?) there are still friendships like that out there. This movie also always makes me cry, again one of those I don't know why things, but it never fails that it does!
2.The Hangover Oh shit who doesn't love this movie? I've watched it nearly thirty times since getting it for Christmas. It's one of those laugh until your sides hurt type of movies and I can't even begin to explain how loudly I do laugh.
1.The Lion King Alright, alright, I know this isn't a movie more so a cartoon but it is absolutely my favorite, especially at this moment. If you know me at all you know I'm a bit of a disney whore so there's that, I love just about every movie they put out or have put out. but The Lion King will always be my favorite. |
